GENERAL MANAGER / RESIDENT MANAGER
POSITIONS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR :
HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM EMPLOYEES

1. MISSION OF THE POSITION:
To coordinate and to ensure correct selection, recruitment, training, development and administration of human resources in order to achieve business objectives, according to the local labour law and following the Meliá Hotels International HR policies. Also have to maintain and promote good work relations, employee satisfaction and a  good working environment.

2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To recruit and select all key positions, to oversee and manage recruitment, selection
    and the hiring process of staff in order to fill successfully the vacancies.

2. Provides recruitment and general staff information, statistics and Human Resources
    Reports for the General Manager and Head Office.

3. To manage all kinds of resourcing channels and maintain good relationship with local
    university/college to promote the hotel employer brand awareness.

4. To manage the internal communication system and distribute the company’s
    information to the team properly and timely.

5. Have direct involvement in service provision within the following functional areas:
    Discipline, staffing matters, terms and conditions of employment, absence,
    redundancies, counselling and welfare.

6. Responsibility for developing, implementing, monitoring and updating a flexible
    reward system for employees, ensuring that it is competitive with comparable hotel
    organisations and supports the Company’s mission and values.

7. Supervise the headcount within the organization in line with the business requirement
    and manning budget. Work out a feasible plan to improve the work productivity to
    ensure a high performance structure in place.

8. Carry out annual salary survey to ensure the salary scale competitive in the market
    and do necessary proposal in terms of the benefit scheme.

9. Oversee the design, evaluation of training solutions to organisational, departmental
    and individual problems and needs using internal and external training resources,
    and contribute to the development of in-house training programmes.

10. To promote a culture of Development in the Hotel for all the employees with High
      Potential.

11. Oversee the design, follow-up and evaluation of the Development Plans.

12. Responsibility for the Company’s Private Medical Insurance Scheme including the
      production and design of information and reports as requested.

13. To prepare and manage budgets for recruitment, training and development.

14. Watch over the legal dispositions and regulations about security and hygiene of the
   working areas for the purpose of maintaining a safe environment to avoid accidents.

15. To prevent and act appropriately to any risk of staffing issues, disputes, relation with
     the union, market challenges.

16. Other HR tasks assigned by the hotel management.

3.  PROFILE

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
University Degree
Upgrade or Master in Human Resources Management would be an advantage
LANGUAGES:
Fluent English, a second language will be an advantage (better if it’s the same where the hotel is based)

2 years in the company in similar position in large hotels.
